Connect to Flora Devnet with MetaMask

As part of our Devnet launch, MetaMask is one of the first wallets we support on Flora. This makes it easy for EVM-native users to connect and start exploring right away.

MetaMask is one of the most widely used crypto wallets, trusted by millions to manage assets and connect to apps across Ethereum and other EVM networks. Now it works seamlessly with Flora too.

What you’ll need

Before you begin, have these ready:

• The MetaMask browser extension (Chrome, Brave, or Firefox)
• A MetaMask wallet (new or existing)
• Access to the Flora Discord

How to connect MetaMask with Sprout

Sprout takes care of the setup for you, so there’s no need to configure the network manually.

1. Join the Flora Discord and head to the #sprout-playground channel
2. Run the command: /connect-wallet
3. Sprout will send you a secure link to sprout.flora.network
4. When prompted, approve the connection in MetaMask

Note: When connecting to the Flora Devnet, MetaMask may display a warning about the token symbol.

"This token symbol doesn't match the network name or chain ID entered."

This is expected — our Devnet token is called dFLORA and is used exclusively for testing. You can safely ignore this message and continue connecting to the network.

5. Sprout automatically adds the Flora Devnet network and confirms your registration

How to connect MetaMask manually (optional)

If you run into connection issues, you can add Flora Devnet manually.

Go to Settings → Networks → Add Network → Add a network manually, and enter the details below:

Flora Devnet details:

• Network Name: Flora Devnet
• RPC URL: https://rpc.flora.network/
• Chain ID: 766999
• Currency Symbol: dFLORA
• Block Explorer URL: https://explorer.flora.network/

Once added, follow these steps to connect to Sprout:

1. Run /connect-wallet in the #sprout-playground channel.
2. Click the link provided in Sprout’s direct message.
3. When prompted, choose MetaMask to complete the connection.

Once you’re connected, you’ll be rewarded with your first XP and the 🌱Seedling role, unlocking quests and access to Sprout AI.

What you can do after connecting

With your wallet linked, you’re fully inside Flora Devnet. Every command you use with Sprout in Discord is a chance to explore, learn, and contribute.

• Claim dFLORA with /flora-faucet
• See what quests are available with /quests
• Try out AI commands like /ask, /tweet
• Earn XP and unlock roles that carry into future phases
• Climb the leaderboard and see how you compare with other early explorers
• Test new features as they roll out and share feedback with our team
