OpenClaw Idea Lab Challenge: Automation Ideas & Workflows

We're launching a new Sprout Idea Lab challenge focused on one of the most talked-about developments in personal AI.

What is OpenClaw?

OpenClaw (formerly known as Clawdbot and Moltbot) is an open-source AI assistant that runs locally on your machine. Unlike cloud-based AI assistants, OpenClaw integrates with chat apps like WhatsApp, Telegram, and Discord while keeping your data on your own infrastructure.

OpenClaw features include:

  • Persistent memory: remembers context across conversations
  • Browser control: automates web tasks
  • System access: manages files and executes commands
  • Extensible skills: add custom capabilities

The project has gained over 100,000 GitHub stars and drew 2 million visitors in a single week following its recent rebrand from Clawdbot.

What we're looking for

Ideas for apps, agents, or workflows that use OpenClaw's capabilities. For example:

  • Calendar management with automated scheduling and conflict resolution
  • Email workflow automation (categorization, drafting, prioritization)
  • Topic monitoring and daily briefing compilation
  • Work session tracking with pattern analysis

Think about tasks that could benefit from an AI assistant with memory and system-level access.
